About Crohnsworld

Crohnsworld is made by Simon at Eightlegged, a small web studio in Scarborough, who has Crohn's disease. His IBD team kept asking how many times a day he went to the toilet, and he had no idea. It turned out to be a lot more than he thought. None of the apps he tried simply counted, most wanted a subscription, and several had shut down taking years of people's records with them.

So this is a website that does the simple thing well: one tap per visit, a plain sentence per day, and the numbers a clinic asks for. It is free, carries no advertising, and will stay that way. If it ever costs more to run than we can cover, the answer will be a one-off "buy us a coffee" button, never a subscription and never your data.

What it is not

It is not medical advice and it does not diagnose anything. It records what you tell it so that you can tell your IBD team. The Harvey-Bradshaw estimate it shows is calculated from your own entries and leaves out the part of the score only a clinician can do.
